Things will literally look different for us in 2021… today we are rebranding!
Life was a lot different when we first launched Forsythe Creative in 2014. My wife Hannah and I were welcoming our first son, and we knew it was time to build our own business in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Since then, our business has grown and thrived. Our focus and portfolio has evolved as well, shifting from small business and notprofit work to an emphasis in content marketing and technical subject matter.
In 2019, we were blessed with the stability to move our growing family and business to my hometown of Austin, Texas, and we continue to serve clients around the world in Oklahoma, New Mexico, New York, California, Colorado, and even overseas.
Today our own brand has evolved to reflect our new chapter—while remaining true to the core of who we are and how we serve our clients. Today, we are officially rebranding as Blue Griffin Marketing.
Vision
As a mythical combination of a lion (king of the beasts) and eagle (king of the birds), the griffin is a symbol of both intelligence and strength. It’s bold, it’s fierce, and it makes an impression, harkening back to ancient storytelling principles we still celebrate in marketing today.
The Blue Griffin holds a special place in our hearts. It’s both new and actually quite old. The Forsyth(e) name originally comes from Scotland, where a tenacious band of highlanders staked their claim and made their mark on the world as early as the 13th century. Ancestors of Clan Forsyth(e) were known as the Race of the Griffin, and their crest features a crowned griffin segreant azure (standing, arms raised).
Now in 2020, we've created a modern take on the Blue Griffin mark. It's clear and BOLD, designed in the same circular format featured in ancient crests (and our former logo as Forsythe Creative).

What's in a name?
Some sources suggest that the Forsyth(e) name comes from the old Gaelic Fearsithe, meaning man of peace. Others suggest that it is tied to the Norse god of justice Forsite (Forseti), son Balder and grandson of Odin. Legend tells of how Forsite would ride to war atop a blue griffin, sworn to fight for good and deliver justice in the battlefield.
Today our battlefield looks a little different, but we like to think our mandate is the same. Wherever we are, we are charged to uplift honest brands, honorable leaders, and selfless initiatives.
We're not here to fight not for ourselves; we're here to help others achieve the success they deserve.
Our mission remains
The Clan Forsyth crest features the Latin motto instaurator ruinae, meaning the restorer of ruin.
This image particularly resonates with us as creatives, but we believe it is also a challenge for everyone. Each one of us has a God-given mandate to repair, to restore, to reconcile, to lift each other up. This historic motto is, in fact, actually rooted in scripture.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. (Isaiah 58:12)
The world is full of dedicated leaders and entrepreneurs trying to build something of lasting value, but for one reason or another, things often don't live up to their potential.
Many of these people don't have the tools or knowledge they need to realize their vision. Others have received bad advice or simply don't have the time. Even our goals and dreams can get a little rusty after a while. We can all use a little help.
As marketers, it's our job to gather the pieces and chart a path forwards. As writers, it's our job to recapture that original spark, clarify it, and hone it into something functional. As artists, it's our job to uncover that founding vision, nurture it, and shape it into something bold and beautiful.
We're not here to build up our own legacy; we're here to help build yours.
Onwards and upwards
Today embark on a new chapter as we adopt the moniker and the brand of the Blue Griffin. We know if we take our charge seriously, it won't always be glamorous, and it won't always be easy. But the best stories never are.
No matter what, we're excited and honored to begin this new chapter with you.
